Cort,
I've not talked to anyone that has taken either a 777 or 400 with Air India thru Rishworth.
I have e-mailed from a couple of 737 guys with Kingfisher, though. They seem OK with their positions.
I was talking with a (real) Air India RJ pilot last evening at CAE in Denver. His opinion was to stay away from Rishworth and approach Air India directly
(I'll try to get info on how to do that). He also said that Kingfisher is a good solid company..same owner as Kingfisher Beer and to be wary of Indigo.
I heard, from an unimpeachable source (that I can't name-he is a designee) some real horror stories about Air India maintenance on the -400 and about
the quality of the right-seaters. Both of those, and the lousy pay on the -400 from Rishworth kept me away.
Gordie
Thanks for the input Gordie.
I am actually going to SEA tomorrow to chat with Rishworth. I am very happy with my current job at XOJET, but just want to hear what they have to say so I can intelligently pass on any intel to those left behind, and satisfy my own curiosity.
I seriously doubt I would leave my current job as it is a great place to work.
I will give a report on the findings, upon my return.
Regards,
Cort

Ladies and Gents,
I was recently contacted by retired United Captain Rich Ford who currently serves as a fleet manager for Flight Training International. There are a number of contract positions available for pilots nationwide serving as simulator instructors in several aircraft types.
Presently, the corporation is in search of instructors in the Atlanta area who are qualled in 737 NG (737-600 and above) or those who possess an Airbus 320 rating. They are also in search of pilots in the Miami area who are qualled on the B-777, A-320, B-757/767, or MD-11 as well as pilots in the Minneapolis area who are qualled on the B-747-400 or A-320 aircraft.
Simulator instructor experience is highly desirable; being current and qualled on equipment is important albeit not a mandatory requisite for application. If you are interested in applying for any of these positions, please contact Rich Ford at Rford@fti.com for additional information.
Sorry folks...pilot error...a typo on the email address. The correct email address is Rford@fti737.com.
If anyone else out there is aware of additional job information, please forward to me for dissemination. We're all in this together.
Thanks,
Dan

Dear Friends,
The FAA is looking for help at the Chicago Center. They want some
retired pilots to work for the Washington Consulting Group that
provides training for new air traffic controllers at the Chicago Air
Route Traffic Control Center in Aurora, IL. Right now the plan is to
hire for full time positions, but if enough pilots were interested,
part time situations could be worked out. The specific job
description is attached as well as is the contact person. They would
work in the training lab at the Center and have a good time doing it.
The pay is only $19/hour but it may be good for someone who is
looking for something to do and earn a little extra money while doing
it. The Center is a very interesting place to work.
The attached file gives all the details of the job (see appended info).

If interested drop him a note. With this kind of income you could afford a very nice house complete with servants over there.

If any one is interested in working full time, Jetblue is looking for
instructors. The job is in Orlando and requires you to either live
near by, or have a commuter pad. It is NOT commutable. Instructors
get 12 days off a month and the starting pay is 70K. Previous A320

any questions, you can reach me at JohnCMoore@cfl. rr.com.

Connie,
Would you please send this to your big list of people, both retirees and current UAL employees. They are aggressively looking for people in Chicago as the guy who was working for them has gotten ill.
Hope you're still enjoying retirement. For me, life has never been better.

Subject: Job opening at Aloha Airlines
Jim,
I am trying to hire 3 Auditors for Aloha. The pay is lousy ... most likely just around $40,000 if I can push hard ... but it will get you
out of the house and restore your FedEx discount. We are on a fast track to get these people in and seated and working so I would say
there is only a week or so to think about this.
Could you forward this to your Honolulu list of retired UAL types and anyone who you think might be interested. There will be an ad in the
Sunday Advertiser that says something like:
Airline Auditor qualifications:
High school equivalency and a valid driver's license. Two to four years education beyond high school preferred. Prior experience with
quality assurance in an airline environment is also preferred. An FAA certificate (pilot, mechanic or dispatcher) is desirable. Proficiency
in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) is essential. Additional essentials include; excellent analytical,
communication and writing skills, people skills and the ability to interface with all departments at Aloha. Candidate must be self
starting and able to prioritize multiple projects, have the ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
The position requires good auditing skills and the ability to quickly understand regulatory documents, technical documents and processes.
I can promise anyone interested an honest interview and due consideration. We have two of the best 'roach coaches' on the island
available for lunch or the employee cafeteria if you prefer that real aviation smell. All Passes are FREE ... as in NO COST after 3 months
(I think it's 3 may be 6) but you will be too busy to use them for the first few months. 401 K account with a whopping 3% per month added.
I have earned almost a thousand dollars (total cash) in retirement money over the past two years. You may be required to go to the
mainland occasionally (OAK, SMF, RNO, SNA, LAS, SAN) to perform audits.
There are negatives. You have to work for me. I arrive early and leave early and spend a lot of time half way home at Sam Choys BLC for
a beer or two. Oh yeah! Tilton will be stopping by to check out his assets once in a while. I can hardly wait for that. And, did I mention the pay is lousy. But, if you are on SS perhaps you don't want to make so much anyway. I may be able to work out part time if we cannot get enough full time people.
Aloha and thanks much,
Ray

Subject: part time job available
Just received a phone call from the FAA at Atlantic City Technical
Center. They are building simulators under a contract and need a pilot
with recent experience to help them with the certification of
standards based on the customer contract. They will have a 737, an
Airbus and a Embraer. All work will be accomplished at Atlantic City
FAA Tech Center.
Job responsibilities would be to work with the Aeronautical Engineers
to identify and correct any deficiencies:
1. Procedural Duties (I believe S.O.P.'s)
2. Technical adviser to the engineers to correct any errors in the
systems interface
3. Act as Simulator pilots to ensure correct S.O.P and phraseology.
I did not discuss monies but suspect this could be a per diem contract
type job based on your availability except that you will need to
commit for one or two three day periods to be available for the ISO
Audit team.
Or this could be a more permanent job that would offer benefits based
on minimum hours worked per week. If you have any interest or know
anyone who has recent experience in mid to large jet aircraft please
email me and I will discus what little I know. This could be a great
opportunity to get a foot in the door for future projects.
Wishing you well in 2007.
